Ahead of the relegation zone right now, but that picture could have changed by the time this game takes place, depending on weekend results. They travel away from home, and visit Salernitana, a team that are rock bottom and have been relegated for a few weeks now.
Salernitana Form GuideIt's been a tough season overall for Salernitana, and the drop to Serie B awaits them. They've still just managed two wins from 36 games, they have two more opportunities to add to that tally, but given how they've been playing recently, I'm not sure that's too likely to happen.
They do come here on the back of a draw, and it was a good one too, drawing away from home with Juventus 1-1, although there has to be questions asked around the performance from Juve, which was very poor. Before that, four losses in a row and seven from eight, with a game against Sassuolo, one place above them, the only other game where they've taken something, and that was a draw.
Verona Form GuideEven if all the weekend results go the way of Verona before they play this, they will still be just two points clear of the drop zone. Of course, points for teams below them, and their position could be much worse by the time we play, and that will impact just how much pressure they have on their shoulders here.
Verona come here in decent form, and have taken points when they've been needed. They have two wins and a draw from their last five, that's seven points and as good, or better, than any of the teams around them. It's given them a cushion, last weekend they did lose though, 2-1 at home to Torino, so do need to bounce back from that.
Match PredictionIt's been a tough season for Salernitana and they've got another game here that I think will end with a defeat. Verona are going along nicely, and I think they can take another three points here, which would really aid their survival chances.
