We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool Form GuideThe farewell tour hasn’t exactly gone to plan for Jurgen Klopp as he looks set to finish his final season in England with just the League Cup to his name. Alas, while their push for the title has crumbled, there’s something to be said for giving their famous manager a good send-off. So, in the next few matches, we’d imagine that’s going to be their main focus, and rightly so.
Following defeats to Atalanta and Crystal Palace, Liverpool got back on the winning trail with a 3-1 triumph over Fulham. Since then, though, they’ve suffered even more disappointment, losing 2-0 to Everton before a 2-2 draw on the road against West Ham.
Tottenham Form GuideBig Ange has done some great things for Tottenham Hotspur when it comes to the overall quality of their football, but results wise, the success just hasn’t been there. Their last hope is to try and get into a Champions League spot but with just a few games remaining, it’s looking unlikely. Either way, the summer transfer window is going to be massive for Spurs.
After a disappointing 1-1 draw away to West Ham, Spurs managed to get back to winning ways with a 3-1 success against Nottingham Forest. Unfortunately for them, the good times didn’t last long as they proceeded to lose to Newcastle and Arsenal.
Match PredictionSpurs simply need to pick up a big result if they’re even remotely serious about pushing Villa all the way in the battle for fourth place. On the flip side, the Reds know that they’re in a rut right now, and they’ll be eager to impress at Anfield. In our view, the likeliest outcome here is a Liverpool win.
