Djibril Cissé has had a long career in football, starting from his youth club AC Arles before moving on to N?mes Olympique and then to AJ Auxerre, which was the real start of his professional career. AJ Auxerre is known for fostering young talent, and Cissé is no exception, having scored 90 goals in his 166 appearances for the club.
He eventually moved on to play for Liverpool, having a pivotal role in the club’s victories at the 2004-2005 Champions League and the 2005-2006 FA Cup. From there, he went on to play with several other clubs, including Sunderland, Lazio, and the Greek juggernauts Panathinaikos.
