To delete your Bet365 account, you have to follow the same steps I’ve gone through, which include:

  1. First, I had to log into my existing account.
  2. Second, I selected the account menu and chose “Gambling Controls”.
  3. Third, I went into “Account Closure”.
  4. Fourth, I’ve chosen the “Duration” option, followed by the time period from the drop menu. After that, I selected one of the reasons why I wanted to close my Bet365 account.
  5. Fifth, I had to type my password and press “Continue” to complete the process. After that, I received a notification saying that the bookie had proceeded with my request and that I’d been logged out.

I know responsible gambling is important, so I’ve decided to go through these steps and delete my account. If you decide to do the same, keep reading to learn more about the entire procedure.

*When I searched for the “Account Closure” option, I found it within the Help section of bet365’s website.

Step One – Logging in & going to the account menu

The first thing I had to do before closing my account was to log in and access my account menu. Here is how I did this:

The screenshot was taken at 11:00 on 11.08.2022
  1. I’ve opened bet365’s website and selected “Login”. Fortunately, I already had an account because I registered after I turned 20.
  2. After that, I had to enter my username and password to log into my account.
  3. Once ready, I clicked on the icon next to the deposit page, which gave me access to my account menu.

Step Two – Reaching the account closure section

Once I had access to my menu, it was time to see how to remove the bet365 account. I did the following:

bet365 gambling controls
The screenshot was taken at 16:51 on 30.08.2022
  1. The first thing was to select the “Account” menu.
  2. After that, I clicked on “Gambling Controls”. This gave me access to a new page where I had to choose from several options.
  3. I scrolled through everything, and in the end, I found “Account Closure” (I could also use the “Self-Exclusion” option).

Step Three – Going through the bet365 account closure process

Now that I got here, it was time to delete my bet365 account. Here is how I’ve done it:

  1. After selecting the “Account Closure” option, I had to choose my Closure Period. The bookie allowed me to select from “Duration” or “Until”.
  2. I decided to go for the first option, so the next step was to choose the period of time that I wanted my account to be deleted.
  3. Following my selection from the first drop menu, I had to state a reason for my decision.
  4. I chose one of the available options and pressed “Continue”.
  5. A second later, I saw a pop-up saying that my request had been processed, and I was logged out of my account.

How To Reactivate Bet365 Account

To reactive bet365 account, I did the following:

  1. I went to the company website and decided to look for bet365’s contact options.
  2. After checking a couple of options, I went to “Help”, followed by “Contact Us”.
  3. This is where I used Live Chat and chose the “I am unable to log in” option (the alternative is to write this query directly to the support team and explain to them that you want to reactive your account).
  4. After talking with bet365’s professional customer support team, I simply followed the step-by-step instructions.

Although I was able to reactive my existing bet365.com account, it is worth noting that this process can be problematic. Since millions of punters use this iGaming company, it may delete your personal data if you closed your account long ago. Thankfully, I had no problems because I restored it just a couple of days after deleting it.

Bet365 Contacts

One of the things I had to do to restore my account after deleting it was to contact the customer support team. What’s more, after reading the T&C, it turned out that people who wonder how to delete a bet365 account can contact the bookie right away.

Fortunately, bet365 offers a couple of popular contact options, such as:

  • Live Chat
  • Email
  • Post

These were the alternatives I had access to, but there might be more options in some parts of the world.

Limiting Access To Bet365 Account

Even though many people want to know how to remove the bet365 account, they also have other options to prevent themselves from logging in. Since bet365 is the leader in responsible betting, I was not surprised it offers a couple of things that you can use to limit access to your account.

After browsing through the Gambling Controls tab, I came across the following alternatives:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Time-Out
  • Self-Exclusion

Aside from the options above, bet365 also offers reality checks. The latter shows you how much time you’ve spent playing.

Each account-access limiting tool has pros, but I prefer the Deposit Limits and Self-Exclusion. Both can come in handy, but there are some differences you should know. That’s why I’ve explained them in the subsequent paragraph.

What’s The Difference Between Deposit Limit And Self-Exclusion

The difference between deposit limit and self-exclusion is that the latter is the closest thing to deleting your account. Since I wanted to learn how to delete a bet365 account, I also decided to check the differences between these two options. That’s why I’ve created the table below.

Self-exclusionDeposit Limit
Allows people to stop themselves from gambling and punting on sportsAllows users to reduce the amount of money they spend while gambling
Good for users with gambling problemsGood for people who spend too much
Suitable for punters who want to take a break and close their account temporarilyThis option is flexible because it allows you to adjust deposit limits on a 24-hour, 7-day or 30-day basis
You can self-exclude yourself from all betting categories to just a few

I just wanted to mention that you can’t reopen your bet365 account during the self-exclusion period.
